The one major advantage of using an electric grill is that there will be no heavy fuel loads to carry around when doing outdoor grilling, for example no propane tanks to fill and carry around, and no charcoal bags or piles of wood to organise.
The only thing you will have to consider if you want to use your grill some distance from the house, is that you will require an extension chord to run from the wall socket to where ever the you situate the electric grill.
Another downside with the electric grill can be the weather, if it starts to rain or even drizzle then using electric outdoors is not recommended. The electric models are definitely lighter than other versions of grills, which makes them easier to transport around to different locations.

Although it is possible to use the electric grill outdoors, it is much better suited to indoor grilling and was designed specifically for this purpose.
You can also adjust the heat needed for cooking much more easily than you would with other types of grills, and with it being electric there is not the fumes associated with other fuel options which makes it more environmentally friendly to use.
Most electric ones have a teflon coating which makes them very easy to clean after use, you just wipe them over with a damp cloth, but make sure the electric grill has cooled down before attempting this.
You should also make sure you always read the safety operating instructions you get with your grill before you start using it, this is essential if you are to operate your grill safely.
