Your Questions About Gas Grill Reviews

Robert asks…

Who makes the Best Gas Grill for $500 or under?

Any links to list, consumer reviews, or recall information would be most helpful. I am considered about well they perform against the elements (rust), ease of cleaning, etc.

I personally like Char-Broil. I've got one now and had one in the past and both were/are great grills!

I am wanting to know a good gas grill for about $300. ?

I have been looking at gas grills for a Christmas present. Obviously Weber is top of the line if you can pay $600 for their low end. I have seen mixed reviews on Charmglow, Fiesta Blue Ember, etc. So any suggestions????

Where does the ground wire go on a gas grill?

We just bought a gas grill from Home Depot: http://reviews.homedepot.com/1999/100497225/reviews.htm I got it all put together, then I was ready to put the knobs on, well,in the bag of knobs was a ground wire. I have no idea where it's supossed to go. I backtracked the manual and set up instructions with no luck. It does have an electronic ignition switch, but I can't see anywhere that it could go. Does anyone know where it goes, or if it is necessary to put on? The ignition switch only takes a AAA battery. FishLakeGuy, I did see that as well, and I went back to the instructions and still couldn't find anything. I'm just thinking we probably don't need it.

newportablegrills.com answers:

Maybe from the negative side of the battery to the chassis. Stop back at the store and take a look at one that is assembled.

Sandy asks…

Grill-less on the 4th,help!?

Tomorrow is the 4th of July and I am without a grill. It was a sudden occurence. How can I make a portable grill out of scratch that can cook for 2 people?

newportablegrills.com answers:

Do you have an oven? Four bricks? A space in your backyard? You have a grill! Take one of the racks out of the oven, build your charcoal fire in a space the size of the grill. Put a brick at each corner. Best to do this before you light the fire. Light it off and when the coals are ready put the oven rack on the bricks and there you go. Happy grilling. Dont forget your fire extinguisher. Cant bend to the ground? Got a wheelbarrow? Fill it half full of dirt and follow the above instructions. Doing this on your apartment deck? DONT!!! Go buy a cheapo gas grill for $20. And remember.FIRE EXTINGUISHER WITHIN REACH AT ALL TIMES

Betty asks…

I bought a cemetery plot and would like to use it the summer for miscellaneous activities. Is this acceptable?

I’m in my early 30’s and recently purchased a cemetery plot. Rather that let it sit there and receive any use from it until I’m dead, I’ll like to partake in some summer activities this coming year. The grounds are kept so nice and the grass is so green, I’d like to sunbathe on it. I’d also like to get outdoors and use it for some stretching, yoga and even cookout on my portable grill. I’ve told a few of my friends about these plans and they state the cemetery may not let me “hang out” there. I disagree – I bought the land and have the paper work to show anyone who may oppose my recreation. So, I guess my question – Is this acceptable? Don’t I have the right to do as I please, as the plot is mine?

newportablegrills.com answers:

The plot of land may be yours but you should respect the people who own the cemetery as well as the families of others that are buried there. I personally think it would be wrong for you to do what you mention. There are other facilities you can use for these purposes, they are called public parks.

Lizzie asks…

What should i get my dad as a 'thank you for all that you do, i really appreciate it' gift?

I want to buy him something. I already am making him something so dont say that. He likes classic cars, music, and cooking. I was thinking of a portable grill for cooking. Ive already got him those small cars that resemble his favorite ones. dont remember what theyre called..they sit on shelfs for decoration. So ya dont say that. And i cant burn cds atm, laptop broke. Any other suggestions please!!

Well, what do you have to spend? A nice saturday rental of an exotic car or muscle car would be awsome! There are a few cool places around here that rent odd ball cars for the day. Then the 2 of you can spend the day tooling around town in a hot car.
